Temple: Zenjibuji

Dedication: Elaine was a doctor in Wellington at the same time as me and Ed. She made up another triptych in my life along with Emma. Unlike the rest of us she made the decision to move there and has had a lovely daughter, Orla. It was great to catch up with her when I was back and with brunch at Castro’s it was almost like old times. We had less cocktails but I suspect that’s because Emma and Heather were missing.

There were stunning views over the coast from this temple but it was a struggle. I was walking so fast today that when I stopped in gardens or to take in the view it was a real relief and then I felt the pain begin to engage. So I just carried on walking.
