Temple: Kozaiji – the penultimate bangai

Dedication: I met Wikus while I was living in Hackney recently. He’s interested in counselling and works in drug rehabilitation so we had some great conversations. He’s at an inflection point, similar to mine. I’m thinking of you Wikus.

Picture: I received this osamefuda when I was back at Saba Daishi, bangai 4. I attended a goma fire ceremony in the morning with Pierre and the priest gave me his name slip. If anyone can translate the kanji I’d appreciate knowing what it says.

I said goodbye to John and had an early morning walk down an overgrown and obviously underused mountain path into the top of Takamatsu, the final city.
